The PiKVM V4 Mini is $274.95 when in stock (currently not in stock at US retailers), versus the $69 that JetKVM wants for the kick starter version. They also claim that the latency will be dramatically lower, which could be a big deal to some users.
Personally, I really like the form factor of the BlkKVM PCIe device (which isn't really a PCIe device, disappointingly, but does fit internally in a PC).
Assuming that they (JetKVM) carry through with the open source promise, it wouldn't be bad to see competing projects, and maybe they can also benefit each other.
Also, considering that PiKVM doesn't forsee supporting Pi5 or CM5 devices, it would be cool to see devices that help expand the SoC ecosystem that can be used for such devices.
